We made the OLYMPICS!!! At least our music did. Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev made our music part of ice skating history. They announced that after 18 years of skating together, including a gold medal, a silver medal, and winning six Russian National Championships, that they would be retiring. For their final routine on the ice, they chose to highlight our music. This performance, featured in the team event of the 2018 Olympic Games propelled the Olympic Athletes from Russia to a silver medal. The emotion was overwhelming as their dominant career came to and end with this amazing swan song. They may not have even been aware that the music they selected for this pinnacle moment in their careers was made by high school aged youth! Beethoven’s 5 Secrets has taken our orchestra across the world with The Piano Guys. It remains one of their most viewed videos with over 200 million views and has been enjoyed the world over!
