“The Redeemer” commissioned by Jenny Oaks Baker and written by Kurt Bestor is quickly becoming one of the most impactful new sacred works online and in concert halls. We were so honored to give the premiere of the work in the Tabernacle on Temple Square as our fist ever concert with the new Lyceum Symphony at our American Heritage School in Salt Lake City. Our students were featured in the video recording at the Church’s beautiful Jerusalem movie set seen in Church New Testament and Book of Mormon films. The same set has been used by the TV series “The Chosen” and is featured in many other productions. It was truly an honor to be asked to participate in this project sponsored by the Church’s European area. This video appeared on the Church’s homepage for the weeks surrounding Easter 2023 and has been viewed over 11 million times worldwide. The way these youth are using their talents to magnify the message of Easter is rare and special.

We are excited to perform an expanded version of this work in David Geffen Hall (home of the NY Phil) Easter weekend 2024.
