Hear the the 2019 Concerto Competition winners perform along with the Lyceum Philharmonic’s rendition of one of the greatest masterworks of Romantic music — Tchaikovsky’s impassioned final orchestral work, his 6th Symphony. Join the Lyceum Philharmonic for a FREE concert at Libby Gardner Concert Hall on the University of Utah campus, March 9th, 2019 at 7:30 pm. Event is open to the public, no tickets, general seating at the door starting at 7 pm. Concerto winners include:

  • Daniel Baldwin –  Glazunov Sax Concerto, mov’t 3
  • McKenna Taylor –  Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, mov’t 1
  • Molly McMurtrey –  Bruch Violin Concerto, mov’t 2
  • Callie Madsen/Michaela West –  Mozart Symphonia Concertant, 1st mov’t (m. 223 to end)
  • Patrick Beal –  Grøndahl Trombone Concerto, mov’t 1
  • Nathan Heyrend  –  Lalo Cello Concerto, mov’t 1
